Savills – stop selling off our homes

Savill’s, housing associations’ estate agent of choice, are auctioning and selling off social rented homes – our homes. At a recent Savills’ auction, 80% of the properites under the hammer were social-rented homes.
After Genesis and Notting Hill Housing shareholders’ voted to merge the two housing assocations, angry residents are investigating the possible eviction of tenants from social rented homes. ‘Voiding’ social rented homes ups their value.
The next Savills auction is on Monday 26th March 2018
The 2016 Housing and Planning Act has opened the flood gates for housing associations to raise finance on the money markets, sell off their social housing stock, and enter lucrative contracts with local authorities. The Act promises deregulation of HA rents in 2020.
Tenants and residents are acting now.
